Although F-Zero and a few other renowned Nintendo series seem to be having a hard time, Kirby is always there, a beloved figure. Whether it’s a console installment or a portable adventure, we can always count on this cute fluff ball to make an appearance. And Nintendo always showers him with a ton of merchandise and even hosts events like pop-up cafes in Japan. He’s truly one of the most adored properties in their lineup.
This “Anniversary Trailer” takes us on a journey through the ages as Nintendo celebrates over two and a half decades of this delightful character. It shows us how Kirby has evolved from his humble beginnings as a “game for everyone” into more complex puzzle and sports games.
Oh, and there’s another exciting Kirby game coming to Switch in 2018 (which so far looks great and familiar). We can’t wait to see what adventures await us with this beloved mascot. Nintendo knows how to keep Kirby fans happy and engaged, and we’re looking forward to experiencing more of his charm in the new year.
