Nintendo is present at Gamescom this weekend and they have brought along ARMS with them. Recently, a new character, Lola Pop, was unveiled, and Gamescom serves as the ideal venue to flaunt some of her moves and provide players with a rundown of the match-ups that will be introduced to the unconventional fighting game.

As can be witnessed in the video below, Lola appears to be more focused on defense and zoning compared to the typical ARMS fighter. Additionally, she possesses this peculiar inflation ability that essentially doubles her defense, transforming her into a mobile tank. I’m quite certain that she will ultimately end up on my list of hated opponents online.

I usually avoid heavy characters in fighting games, so Lola seems to be exactly what I prefer. That combination of defense and speed sounds truly destructive in the hands of the right player. I’m not sure if she will replace Ninjara as my top choice, but I can undoubtedly support unconventional characters rather than someone plain. Hopefully, we will obtain a release date shortly, as I’m genuinely eager to give her a try.
