For a considerable period of time, we haven’t witnessed an official crystal console. As far as my memory serves, perhaps the first Xbox was the last one? Now, an accessory outlet is presenting clear casings for your Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo has previously released clear or crystal versions of their consoles, such as the Game Boy, Nintendo 64, and Game Boy Advance. However, this unofficial product seems to have taken the lead this generation.

The transparent housing will undoubtedly demand that the user disassemble their existing unit and transfer all the internal components. But if you are willing and fond of the see-through aesthetic, then perhaps you might consider it worth the risk (and the potential voiding of your warranty).

The clear casing is among a range of options available at the Aliexpress store, with prices varying from $20 to $40. They all bear the label “Super Switch”, which is incredibly tacky, but at least it’s less conspicuous on the clear variant.
