Core Keeper 1.0 Release Date and Features

Core Keeper 1.0 will be released on Aug. 27, 2024. This date also marks its official console debut, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. As per the Nintendo page, the title will also launch on the Switch on Sept. 17, 2024.

The Core Keeper 1.0 content reveal trailer confirms the introduction of a brand-new and customizable world generation feature, enabling you to explore your favorite biomes to the fullest. Additionally, you can get a taste of two new combat styles: the Warlock and the Mage. Dive into a unique magic system that requires the power of mana and unlock additional skills for character builds. You’ll also discover a new talent tree for Magic and Summoning, which contributes to attack damage and mana regeneration.

The developer, Pugstorm, has shared details about the co-op and cross-platform availability of Core Keeper. While online multiplayer is still being worked on, there are no plans for local co-op or cross-platform support. On the contrary, multiplayer will be revamped for PC crossplay as the team focuses on the new PlayFab Party.

If you’ve played Core Keeper in Early Access, Pugstorm recommends starting a new world to ensure a seamless 1.0 experience. Any old worlds will be renamed as “Classic,” indicating that it is an unsupported version for the full release. You can still access these builds later on, but they won’t include 1.0 content.

Once Core Keeper 1.0 arrives, more updates will be rolled out to expand the magical universe. This means you can look forward to new content and quality-of-life improvements in the near future.
