It even has save importing

Darkest Dungeon on iPad is a match made in heaven, and soon, it’ll be a reality. The latest iteration of this masochistically delightful RPG launches on August 24th as a premium, one-time purchase app.

According to Red Hook Games, “While it’s called the ‘Tablet Edition,’ this iPad version packs all the essential features found on other platforms. Even better, the touch interface complements the game perfectly. We’ve always believed we inadvertently created a touch-friendly experience, and now we can showcase it in its true form.”

For existing players, there’s a thoughtful feature allowing them to export their save data from Windows, Mac, or Linux to Dropbox and then import it onto their iPad. The iPad version of Darkest Dungeon hasn’t been priced yet, but it will include just the base game, with The Crimson Court expansion arriving later this year.

As for other platforms like Nintendo Switch? “There’s always a chance,” hints Red Hook.
